After several months of waiting and trying to restraint myself from just purchasing the book, I finally read Leigh Bardugo's Ninth House. This crosses off my "number in the title" slot.

As I assume it is obvious from my previous posts, I love Leigh Bardugo's books. This was her first Adult fiction publication. I was fully expecting Ninth House to be different from her YA writing and I was fully expecting to not enjoy it as much. I was correct on both counts. It was the last quarter of the book that changed my mind about sadly thinking I was probably not going to read the next Alex Stern installment. The pacing was odd to me, I felt like most of the book moved a little slow, and the ending went racing over several speedbumps. But the twists left me wanting to know more - so again I wait.
