After starting this blog in late 2019 I decided to try a personal reading challenge for the year 2020. I adapted a graphic from Penguin Books and created this -
My hope was that it would give me some guidance on posts and help me expand the types of books I read. By the end of the year, I had completed 23 of the 25 categories.
Honestly, although a bit disappointed that I didn't complete it, this is further than I thought I would get. It also gives me some feedback on some types of books I should try to seek out in the future (diverse authors and banned books).
Another reflection I always like to look at is the Year in Books from Goodreads. Starting this blog has been keeping me a bit more accountable on my tracking on Goodreads, since I want to be able to see what books I have completed. Here are some highlights from there -
