Thank you to the blog The Book Nut for this tag! Check out her post here.

Flagrate – The Odds of Lightning (Jocelyn Davies)

Writing Charm

A book you found interesting but would like to rewrite

I didn’t not like this book, it simply felt a little disjointed to me.

Alohomora- Divergent (Veronica Roth)

Unlocking Charm

A first book in a series that got you hooked

This is the only book besides Harry Potter that I have gotten to the end of, and then immediately started over.

Accio – Ninth House (Leigh Bardugo)

Summoning Spell

A book that you wish you could have right now

Please can I read it?

Avada Kedavra – Six of Crows (Leigh Bardugo)

Killing Curse

A killer book…

This one is just absolutely phenomenal.

Confundo – Slaughterhouse-Five (Kurt Vonnegut)

Confusion Charm

A book you found confusing

I can’t be alone in this.

Expecto Patronum – Howl’s Moving Castle (Diana Wynne Jones)

The Guarding Spell

Your Spirit Animal book

Can Calcifer be my spirit animal?

Sectumsempra – The Seventh Bride (T. Kingfisher)

Dark Curse

A dark, twisted book

This wasn’t actually super dark comparatively, but it was certainly more twisted than I was expecting when I started it.

Expecto Patronum (again) – Mystery at the Lilac Inn (Carolyn Keene)

The Patronus Charm

A childhood book connected to good memories

My first Nancy book <3

Expelliarmus – The Loneliest Girl in the Universe (Lauren James)

Disarming Spell

A book that took you by surprise

Yeah, I did not see this one coming.

Prior Incantatum - Echo (Pam Munoz Ryan)

Reverse Spell

The last book you read

Thank you Literacy III!

Riddikulus – Shadowmagic (John Lenahan)

Boggart Banishing Spell

A funny book you’ve read

Just one of the many high points to this one.

Sonorus – Dear Evan Hansen (Val Emmich)

Amplifying Charm

A book you think everyone should know about

No explanation needed.

Obliviate – The Fault in our Stars (John Green)

Memory Charm

A book or spoiler you would like to forget having read

If I remember correctly, this was the only book that I got a major spoiler for.

Imperio – Winesburg, Ohio (Sherwood Anderson)

Controlling Curse

A book you had to read for school

If not for AP Literature, I never would have picked this one up. And if I picked it up, I certainly would not have gotten to the end.

Diffindo – The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)

Severing Charm

A book you wish you could separate from its series

The first one was so good! The next two just did not live up to my expectations.

Stupefy – A Quiet Kind of Thunder (Sara Barnard)

Stunning Spell

A book that left you stunned speechless

This one actually made me cry.
